Notes Regarding the Fees
In theory, “no annual contract” means that the price could go up at any time. AT&T seems to want to sell this as “no price increase at 12 months”, but that seems like a weird selling point if the price could go up at any time before or after that (with no indication as to how much an increase would be). After some digging on the internet, I found some discussions regarding price increases (examples here, here, here, here, and here), which seem to happen in $5 increments, somewhat randomly.
